Great show as always. Can’t wait to get that N900 to my hands by the way.

Hi. Thanks for the show. I recommend it to all my friends.
Btw. Quick question. I’ve installed new firmware on my E51, yet restored a backup I’ve made. Does this nullify the firmware upgrade? I ask because some paid software I’ve got like Skyequikey is cleared, re-registering might be a problem.

WELL have to say N86 actually produces great video,,that’s an awsome sound quality
hope someday nokia will produce same phone with HD capability

Nice review.
A lot of users are reporting bad GSM call quality in the way that when the phone are on GSM the other side of the phone call cannot really hear you. rumour are that its because of the built in noise filter you cannot turn off.
If you could try this.. go out on the street, put the phone on GSM (not 3G) and call someone.. see if they can hear you LOUD n clear.. its a shame but this has put me off buying the E52 :(
5* for the review!

Will you be reviewing the E72 that’s supposedly being released this month?

you can see ur dog in the raflection of the screen!!!
stevelitchfield on September 6, 2009 at 6:26 pm
No, it doesn’t nullify the firmware! And if you re-reg, your existing key will still work, as the IMEI is the same 8-)
stevelitchfield on September 6, 2009 at 6:27 pm
Umm….. I haven’t GOT a dog 8-)

Hi, I live in a scandinavian country. And i was wondering how is that possible to use special letters such as “åæø” on nokia e55.
stevelitchfield on September 8, 2009 at 7:13 pm
There’s a ‘symbol’ system for extra characters, but I’d also guess that the qwerty layout was slightly different for Scandinavian E55s?

Hey steve when will see your review about N900? I have seen couple of reviews on youtube but I am dying to hear your opinion …
stevelitchfield on September 9, 2009 at 4:21 pm
Review? N900? They haven’t even released the thing yet! i.e. Nokia are still writing the software! I’ll review it when there’s production firmware and software available.
colemanator2109 on September 12, 2009 at 8:09 pm

After listening to the phoneshow chat 3, I went back to listen to the audio quality of PS 89. I must say it is extraordinary. I sounds like it is studio recorded instead of outside directly from the phone. Great stuff!!

Yes, look back through my archives!

Pre-ordered the black E52 from a swedish store, if their preliminary date is right I will have it in mid-october!
doubletrance on October 2, 2009 at 2:53 pm
will there be a black version of the e52?
k3nt86 on December 23, 2009 at 12:34 am
Hey Steve, I have heard some issues with the e52 that it restarts and freezes quite often. Is that true??
MichaelWithstand on January 15, 2010 at 1:37 am
I intend to get this phone but I’ve read some disturbing comments on it about hanging up, restarting during call and bad call quality in noisy environment due to the noise cancellation feature.
Anybody could suggest something. I really like the phone.
florinmldvn82ro on February 16, 2010 at 12:54 am
Great review. I have a question though. I’ve read that the keyboard is not the only difference between the phones. Looks like E52 has a noise canceling feature when using dedicated headphones. Please answer by replying to this message. Thanks.
stevelitchfield on February 16, 2010 at 8:49 am
They both have noise cancellation

Please talk slower, not every one is perfect in English, thanks for the very great review ;-)
