NintenTV Review: Sonic Unleashed [Wii]
NintenTV’s 17th Video Game Review Sonic Unleashed is half Sonic and half non-Sonic. Looks like Sega DID learn that they should’ve just stuck to the day stages. Sonic Colors looks like it might be the best 3D sonic game since SA2.

dude i orded this game yesterday and i cant wait for it and i know i havent played the game yet but i think that the sonic team new that the slow warehog wasnt sonics style but games that just use the same matierial get boring, so i think they just wanted to change it up a bit. plus it said sonic unleashed so of course there will be more warehog that hedgehog.

@Xaragon64DS why do they even still make games for the ps2 if there is a ps3 out, you dont see nintendo making games for the gamecube anymore.

Yes, because of that, the Wii version of Sonic Unleashed had to stoop down to be close to what the PS2 could handle. As great a system the PS2 is, it’s old and a piece of sh*t compared to the Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360. The Wii is actually capable of handling a game more like the Xbox 360/PS3 version of Sonic Unleashed, look at Sonic Colors. If they made a true Wii version, it would have more levels than the PS2 version, unfortunately, it’s just a touched up PS2 game.

@max536drago I fail to see how Unleashed implies that Sonic will be a wolf more often than a hedgehog, but oh well.
I understand Sonic Team want to spice up the games by adding gimmicks, and they should be doing that. But choose good ideas that work! Not generic, badly controlled gimmicks that simply detract from the gameplay enjoyment.

The cutscenes I think are amazing, really nice made! I’m thinking about buying this game, but I’m not really sure :o

This is what you call a review, it’s way better than IG’s
as for the game, I do like the Werehog stages, they are something new, they tried to come up with a new idea
Sonic was maybe not the best choice for this idea, that’s true
but if you ask me, you should look at these two characters seperately and they are both great for their individual levels
As for the villages, they are way less boring than in Sonic Adventure, because you don’t have to run through it, so it actually saves time this way

@classicrockrockz I would love to see a new CGI series with his animation. It would be awesome. I actually don’t mind 4Kids, but they have had their fair share of shitty performances.

not sure if you heard this or not but sega is making sonic colors which is like sonic unleashed but with (i think) more 2d levels and definately no werehog or anything else.

@mybrother8my360 I’m sorry to sound rude, but the amount of times I get told this kind of stuff astounds me. It’s as if people think I just play games to make videos and not because I’m an actual gamer. Colours was announced back in May, of course I know about it, and I have been keeping up with all the latest news about. I don’t want to be mean or anything, but I do know about these big announcements.
