NintenTV Review: Sonic the Hedgehog [Mega Drive]
NintenTV’s 5th Video Game Review Sonic the Hedgehog is an awesome platformer that is one of the best Sonic games ever made. Sonic was a great success back in 1991 and now he’s becoming road kill, so lets take a look at this great first game to the series. ============================================ My brother turned 16 today! Happy Birthday to him! I am pleased to with the results of this video, it came out with good editing, great quality and made a good review I think. NOTE!: The reason I did not include the Story in this review is because it is in my Sonic the Hedgehog Genesis review: uk.youtube.com This game and Sonic Genesis have the same storylines, so watch that review if you wanna know the Story =D ============================================ Original Release: 23rd June 1991 for Mega Drive ============================================ Next Review: Sonic the Hedgehog 2 uk.youtube.com ============================================ Enjoy! Nintendo do not make any Sonic games. Sonic Team do, but on Nintendo consoles. Mario and Sonic Olympics was a success sales wise but wasn’t very brilliant in the eyes of the game critics like IGN or Gametrailers.

in Sonic 1 there are only 6. the 7th one is the reason that turns him super

its a shame that the european mega drive has slow music compared to the genesis in the USA and Japan.
theres no excuse for that in my opinion.

I actually have to say that I prefer the slower music, thats the way it was for me and I still have it to this very day, it was a Christmas present and I’ve had it since it came out!

yeah but it makes sonic feel slower in my opinion

Thats fair enough!
For me its a thing of great nostalgia but I still understand where your coming from!

Cool review. I have this game, its the shit. I have a what you call Mega Drive. Here in the US we call it the Genesis. Its an awesome game.

dude you should be saying megadrive and genesis
Gameking53 on November 28, 2009 at 8:50 pm
I’ve noticed many American reviewers call it by it’s US name (Genesis), so why should I bother saying both?
mariojuggernaut21 on November 28, 2009 at 9:07 pm

I agree with you in saying that this is one of Sonic’s greatest games. I downloaded it on my Wii and I beat the game with all of the Chaos Emeralds, and I have to say this is Sonic’s best 2D game. The only two things, I didn’t like was the bonus stages and the labyrinth zone.

Yeah, the sound in Sonic was awesome. That blasted Robotnik theme’s still stuck in my head to this day.
