If you get a direct hit on the power lines nothing will protect you, A direct hit will vaporise any surge protector that you can buy .
Surge protectors are only for spikes in the mains supply or transients as they are called

If you should get a real close hit, which is extremely rare, you’d more probably fry your power supply in the TV, so unplug your TV from the power. But as I said, a hit close enough to do damage either way is very rare.
A surge protected power board would help.

just run everything on a surge strip….a good quality one.
if you are hooked to an old roof antenna, chances are your TV wont stand a chance if thats hit but you should have a good ground on that antenna leading to the ground rod outside your house in the dirt…
