Make sure the antenna is pointed in the right direction.
Use this web site http://www.antennaweb.org and enter at least your Zip code (sorry if you live outside the US this won’t help). If you don’t enter your address you will have to find your home on the map. North is 0 degrees, East is 90, South is 180 and West is 270. All other compass points are in between those numbers. The site will tell you what kind of antenna you need and what channels you are supposed to see in your area. If the antenna is an indoor one it needs to be amplified with something that plugs into your electrical outlet. These so called amplified antennas that have no connection to electrical power are not really amplified. I can get all digital channels in my area with an amplified antenna indoors as long as it is not raining or excessively foggy. I live about 40 to 50 miles from the transmitters though.
