For Warhawk you hold L3 to talk. If you have a headset you'll hear other players voices through it. If you don't have a headset voices will come through the TV speakers. If you want a headset and Warhawk, go out and get the retail version (in a store rather than online). It comes bundled with the Jabra BT125, which is a pretty good headset and a very good deal.
