Full product specs: www.amazon.com Original Music by S.Hillman for Pointdexter Productions I was sold on the Nikon Coolpix P300 because of its breakthru features among the current compacts and after spending a few weeks playing with it, the camera delivered, but not without some sacrifices. Here’s the scoop: The P300 shoots 12mp pictures @ 7 frames per second, rocks manual settings and 1080p video and has a fast f1.8 Nikkor lens all in one complete, compact design. The auto-panoramic feature works surprisingly well! The colors are blended together seamlessly and I don’t notice any distortion/blurriness at all. The issue with the battery door is that it can be easily caught and opened accidentally, a very basic design flaw they must’ve overlooked when squeezing all these features into a tiny compact body. The 7 frame-per-second frame rate can be easily abused and can clutter up your memory card with redundant pictures, so use sparingly. Despite all this, the P300 does everything the brochure says its does right out of the box. It offers plenty of creative control in a compact body and there’s so many crowd-pleasing features to play with. Like any good review, I guess there should be some system to rate this camera, in which case I give the Nikon P300 two gold medallions, a platinum goblet and chicken nugget. To be honest, I created these
