The only reason a Mac can run all 3 OS’s (OS X, Windows & Linux) is because ANY computer can run Windows & Linux. Apple doesn’t want you to be able to buy any computer you want and install OS X. They MAKE you buy a Mac. Thank Microsoft and Linux NOT Apple for letting their OS’s run on a Mac. BTW I have an iPhone and I love it so don’t call me an Apple-hater.

a pc can run os x and windows you dumb arse
SunnyKattZekeGames on March 27, 2010 at 11:41 am
A mac cannot run windows – it uses a boot setup to do it. You can do the same thing on a PC. I’ve already had 3 operating systems on my pc. Please do your research. The Mac platform is a joke.
cnetrocks on March 28, 2010 at 4:12 am
@SunnyKattZekeGames if you want to talk about research than you would know that there are are many different programs to run windows on a mac you are just thinking of boot camp, if you did not like that you could run something like parallels and your statement about the mac platform being a joke is your opinion i personally prefer the mac os to windows but i don’t try to make others see that way, if you prefer windows that is your choice but don’t bash the mac.
SunnyKattZekeGames on March 28, 2010 at 11:16 am
I’m aware of these “many different programs” you speak of. I’m not talking about those. Any software boot system is inferior to a pure hardware partition and a bootloader. You could, in theory, do this with a mac, but I’m pretty sure circumventing bootcamp along the way will make it a bit tougher than windows.

(continued, ran out of room)
This is never about my personal choice. I will always bash the mac – these misconceptions passed around about them are harmful, and if apple gains more market share personal computing will start to become less and less personal and less and less useful as minimalism and looks and totalitarian control from apple ruins the market and the freedom of the concept of computers.

@Unbox2Review
Uh, no. Apple pretends at innovation. Apple’s closest attempts at innovate are NOT in computing, they’re in devices. And specifically just one: the iPod. The iPod itself was not particularly innovative (but a Walkman was), however, it was very well marketed.
Apple’s innovation is limited to one single broad area only: MARKETING.
End of story.

he spent the entire time talking about how thin it is. how about opening up the screen and showing us what it looks like.
mavswi on May 3, 2010 at 3:43 am
@decadyne apple didn’t invent it innovates different things you are confusing inventing with innovation
innovation= make changes in something established, esp. by introducing new methods, ideas, or products
decadyne on May 3, 2010 at 7:25 pm
@mavswi
No, I was specific about what I said and I am not at all confused about the difference between innovation and invention. Your definition of innovation is in fact not how product developers view innovation at all, and I mean this from a marketing perspective. Apple is an innovative marketer, but it is not an innovative ideator.

@deanpetersen Gay? Are you saying that because there making comments about Mac vs PC, That makes them attracted to the same sex? WTF dude. Thats so mean, how do you live your life with this much hatred towards love between 2 men. Your so judgmental. Leave the earth alone.
deanpetersen on May 31, 2010 at 11:46 am
@FASSY524 No but you probably do. How about you take a chill pill and learn common slang. In fact, since you probably don’t have enough social interaction to catch the fact that I wasn’t actually referring to same-sex attraction (or saying they are cheery and happy people), I included this helpful episode for you to watch and learn common speech expressions: southparkstudios(dot)com/episodes/251889.

South Park: Season 13, Episode 12.

Not the thinist. MacBook Air is 0.76MM thin at it’s highest point. For PC’s that maybe.
